Weirdest dream ever

I just had a dream that Tyra Banks gave me a desktop computer as a "gift" to replace an older one I had.  I also had to lead a diversity discussion for her which was wildly successful despite the change from Tyra Banks leading it to me leading it.  I was a pro at leading that discussion.

BTW, I have an interview with Whirlpool tomorrow at 8 am, please pray :)

Has your iPod ever run out of juice at the worst possible moment? What happened?

Shortly starting my 12 hour car journey to Philly from Chicago I realized I only had enough power for maybe one or two hours of play time.  Needless to say, that was a hecka boring drive from IL to PA.  The drive from Philly back to Chicago was definitely better and quicker...  thanks to me making sure there was DEFINITELY enough power for the entire trip home.

I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!

Summer fun 2007

So I've been kind of MIA recently... from almost everything.

Trying to get a little taste of everything I can before I have to leave.  Surprisingly, while I've been to all the touristy stuff here, Hershey Park, DC, NYC, Long Island, NJ...  I still haven't made it to the toursity stuff in Philly...  I haven't had a cheesesteak from Pat's or Gino's, haven't seen the bell, or independence hall...   nothing.  Whoops.

Here's a little taste of what I have been doing though...

Beautiful lake during the sunset...

Another pic...

HERSHEY PARK

It's the CONDOR!  Except called another Flying Falcon... it's the same exact ride as a ride I managed when I worked at Six Flags...  but different!   It was so bizarre looking at it.

This was my first time on a Ferris wheel EVER!  I'm not afraid of roller coasters... but I'm deadly afraid of Ferris Wheels...   admittedly, after I got on, it wasn't that scary... but I'm really afraid of ferris wheels...

Lunch at Hershey Park...

My artsy picture at HP.

WASHINGTON D.C.

In Washington D.C. I got to hang out with Susie Yoo...    in front of capital hill...

And my awesome hosts Monica Yoon and Liz Kim.

WWII memorial....   Illinois Representing.

Washington Memorial...  There really isn't that much to do when you hike to the base of it.

SPIRIT OF PHILADELPHIA

Me and the other two Learning and Development Interns... we like playing pranks on each other and wasting time and taking trips around the building to explore.

Other intern buddies on the ship.

Me at the Golf Range..

Here's a pic of the LM 2007 Summer Interns at our location.  Yea there's like 70+ of us.  We're all sporting our school colors and I'm right in the middle as sole representative of ILLINOIS

It's hard to believe that at the end of this week I'll be...

Saying a good bye to Philadelphia...  I expect to get my offer letter this week...   Will I be returning as a full time?  We'll see...  This summer I kind of fell in love with the East Coast and Philadelphia...  it's hard to believe I like this area as much as I do and I'll really miss it when I'm back at school.  It's hard to believe that In 3 weeks I'll be starting up my last semester of school ever.

This is the last week of the internship...  which is sad... and on Friday, I make a trip out to EUROPE for a little over 2 WEEKS!  I'll post our itenerary up later...    and then I'll (hopefully) have awesome pictures.  Very excited for Europe, but there are a million logistical details to figure out...   and to close too.  if someone could help Tom move my stuff out of Atrium it would be GREATLY appreciated.  There might be some kind of dinner in for you too if you help out enough :)  Thanks ahead of time for those of you who will take the initaitive to help out a friend in need :)

I was just at Borders for 3 hours to get the BRAND NEW HARRY POTTER 7!

Me and 5 other awesome Lockheed Employees all waited in line for it.  :)

I won't be around the next 3 days because I'll be reading HP.

Stay tuned for spoilers...

Interesting things that have been happening to me...

So, here's a quick summary of some of the things that's happened to me since coming to Philly...

-Been in the back of the cop car for the first time in my life...
-Went back to Chicago for less than 24 hours, spent a weekend at NYC, and went down to VA.
-Experienced PA's awful awful awful awful highways.
-Experienced Philly's awful timing of lights, which almost makes me never want to drive around in the city.

So some fun pictures from NYC...

Here's me and Jacob hanging with the Wall Street Bull

The other end of the bull with classic thumbs up pose...

Over at Ground Zero...  it's strange but it was definitely a surreal experience visiting here... the last time I visited this site was the summer before 9/11 and back then I just wanted to sleep and get the tour over with...  I wish I was able to appreciate it more...

Part of the hotel room we stayed at...   for a 4 star hotel I was a little disappointed honestly...

but the view from up top was spectacular...   (overlooking central park) it's like 2 blocks away from it.

View from the swimming pool...  went swimming in the morning.

The hotel we stayed at...  I guess we got a nice deal for it... but still a ton more for a hotel than I wanted to spend.

My friend in front of the Barbie store in his pink shirt...

In central park...

Me in front of the UN...  question.  If you have a security clearance... and you step into the UN, thus leaving US territory... do you still have to do paperwork?  :P

Me in the Big Apple!
Have a bunch of other pics too, but in my pbase.

So fun story... on the way home from a Lockheed intern event in Virginia... our bus breaks down in the middle of the tunnel... under the ocean...   it's only one lane down there...  how fun eh?  So the cops had to bring all of us little by little to the nearest rest station...  and th at's why I was in the back of a cop car, not because I got arrested...

Btw, what is the purpose of having a bridge/tunnel/bridge/tunnel/bridge/tunnel?

DC next week?  Or Miami?
